About the Author
James Romberger’s pastel drawings are in many private and public collections including those of The Metropolitan, Brooklyn and Parrish Museums. He is the writer/artist of For Real and the Eisner-nominated one-shot Post York for Uncivilized Books; and co-author of 7 Miles a Second, the graphic memoir of the late multimedia artist and AIDS activist David Wojnarowicz, the 3-issue "Renegade" arc of 2020 Visions with Jamie Delano, Bronx Kill with Peter Milligan, and Aaron and Ahmed with Guggenheim fellow Jay Cantor for Vertigo/DC; and The Late Child and Other Animals with Marguerite Van Cook for Fantagraphics Books. He has written about comics, film and art for Publisher's Weekly, Comics Journal, The Beat, Study Group Magazine and LAAB. His most recent book is the critical study Steranko: The Self-Created Man for Ground Zero Books. He has taught art at Parsons, Hunter College and Marywood University.
